Beaches, Creeks & Rivers

Beaches Creeks & Rivers is a show about the natural environment. Jan & Linda feature conversations with members of local community groups that have an interest in maintaining the quality of our local environment and waterways. They promote opportunities for volunteering and find out how people can get involved in supporting environmental action.

Episode 1: In Episode 1 Jan & Linda speak with Marcus, the coordinator of Friends of Carrum Foreshore & Carrum Beach Patrol, about the ways these organisations work to improve local beaches. They also chat with Josie a volunteer with Carrum Beach Patrol about how she became involved and what it is like to volunteer for BP.

Episode 2: In Episode 2 of ‘Beaches, Creeks & Rivers’, Jan & Linda speak with the coordinator of the Kananook Creek Association about the history of this amazing local organisation and the various challenges they are managing.

Episode 3: Jan & Linda speak with Robyn from the Down’s Estate Community Project about their amazing local farm that is exploring sustainable agriculture and community skill building.
