The Smith & Western Jury are my favourite Melbourne band. Sam and Simon joined us at Radio Carrum in late June for a live session and WOW they are something very special!! Their debut album was released a couple of months ago and it’s still firmly embedded on my weekly playlist. Together with James Ellis, they straddle that sweet Melbourne/Nashville sound that’s highly addictive. I have a few favourites on the album but I find myself wandering regularly back to the title track “Hotel Texas”. It showcases Sam’s majestic vocals and signals a super talented songwriting duo that is up and about. The Smith & Western Jury are on a pathway to igniting international excitement, it’s easy to love their work!!
