“Different Kind of Beast” is exactly what the title suggests, this is a song that takes no prisoners and definitely is not for faint of heart. It kicks with a hooky drum beat before the catchy up stroke of reggae-like rhythm for the main verse riff of semi clean guitar starts up. The vocals of singer Ben Watkins command attention as the song slowly pumps its way into the power chorus of “Different Kind of Beast” that is something that the Melvins would be proud of.

If you like your rock to be bold and brutal then “Different Kind of Beast” is for you. The track is short, but packs plenty of punch. The humbling moment for “Different Kind of Beast” is knowing that the inspiration for the song was inspired by Ben’s pet dog.
